Evaluation unit 11 leeward martin For my unit 11 Animation project I have created an animation video aimed at students who are looking to go to Tower Hamlets College (New City College as it is now called) to do courses. The video should include the positive aspects of Tower Hamlets and what course you can do. The animation was to be designed to go on the social media feeds of the college. I started by creating a story board and researching about colleges. I asked some of the existing students here what things are good and bad about the college. Then I could decide what might be included in the animation. Some of the things they said were good was teaching and facilities. Some of the poor things were lack of things to do in the break times, but I said they could always play basketball like myself. Looking back, I think I should have done a scene with some sports or basketball. After finishing all the pre-production (creating a proposal and storyboard), I then started to draw and animate my animation for unit 11. I think I should have done the proposal really detailed. I started the storyboards by drawing some ideas on paper with pencil. They were kind of in detail as they included timings. The drawings were good for me, but I didn’t have time to do them in colour. The software I used to create the animation was Photoshop in the main. Here I drew the assets that I needed to create based on my storyboard. I also got some clip art from the Internet as this is free to use. I made sure that none of the work was copyrighted. Using the Timeline Panel, I was able to animate using key frames. I made three separate animation video then combine them in Final Cut Pro to make one video all together. I then add music to the background to make it more interested for the viewers. I was satisfied with my work and then ask for feed backs from my classmates. Overall they like my video and I was very happy with myself with my work and also the gave me some feed backs where I needed to improve in my animation. Like The animation could be longer and have more characters loving in the background instead of one. I can add features; like what the has to offer and stuff or advertising or something. The main character could be animated better like he's legs could be animated like he is walk instead of just gliding like a ghost in the animation.  Also, what went well in my video, well a lot of things went well in my video such as the music in the background goes well with the animation to make it feel more live, The animation had doors closing and opening which was very good and also how the character was going door to door and floor to floor which makes it more interesting.

Review Of Animation

Below is a questionnaire to collect audience feedback of my animation. The questionnaire was prepared by the students. 

I asked people to watch my video and fill in their thoughts in it. This is one example of the feedback sheets.

What worked well
Areas that went well in my animation is how there is lot of scenes and its giving a message to the audience that the character is going to college and in each scene theres different location where the character is going to class . The music in the background goes well with the animation to make it feel more live . Most of the feedback they strongly agree that there are a good variety of shots such as close ups long shots and medium shots .the timing of the animation was effective strongly in the animation . The animation had doors closing and opening which was very good and also how the character was going door to door and floor to floor which makes it more interesting . At 5 sec i like how the doors open and close as he enters the building . 99% of the feedback like the animation and my concept of it .

Improvements 
Theres a lot of improvement that could be done such as improve the background colour and add more college features . The animation could be longer and have more characters loving in the background instead of one . I can add features ;like what the has o offer and stuff or advertising or something . The main character could be animated better like he's legs could be animated like he is walk instead of just gliding like a ghost in the animation . At 22 sec in the animation when he enter the class theres a lot of improvement that could be done such as the other character can be sitting in the chairs instead of standing and facing the board , teacher foot could have been behind the desk instead of in front the desk . Some parts of the animation the animation started to move fast then suddenly move slow which i could have the same pace in each scene of the animation . Fill in colour gaps and objects in the animation . At the beginning there could have been more visuals and the Tower Hamlets sign needs to be in capitals . At 23 sec the door appears to be open still with the opacity if at 40% which needs to be fix . At the end round 43 sec when he is leaving a window appears to be missing out of the animation which needs to be fix . Theres nothing in the animation that says anything about college values and why the college is a must go to for education and career build .
